PART-TIME HOUSE MANAGER NEEDED // MALIBU, CA

Job Title: House Manager

Location: Malibu, CA

Compensation: $110/hour

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week to start, with potential to transition into a full-time role

Overview:We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a private residence in Malibu, with additional support for properties in other states. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience managing private homes and is comfortable balancing hands-on tasks with coordination and oversight responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

•Manage and coordinate household vendors (maintenance, repairs, landscaping, etc.) across multiple properties as needed

•Oversee and schedule housekeepers, ensuring each residence is consistently maintained to a high standard

•Maintain organization throughout the home(s), including systems for storage, inventory, and supplies

•Handle grocery shopping and ensure all homes are fully stocked based on the principals’ preferences

•Assist with light meal preparation and occasional cooking

•Coordinate chefs and catering for dinners, events, and special occasions

•Anticipate the needs of the principals and ensure a seamless living experience across residences

•Run errands and manage ad hoc household requests as needed

•Coordinate logistics and support for the principals when transitioning between properties

Qualifications:

•Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar house manager or estate management role

•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

•Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•Discretion, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset

•Flexibility with schedule and willingness to adapt as needs evolve

•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

•Experience working in high-end or luxury residences

•Experience managing multiple properties or estates

•Culinary skills or comfort in the kitchen

•Established network of vendors and service providers
