JUNIOR HOUSEMAN NEEDED // HILLSBOROUGH, CA

Position: Junior Houseman

Location: Hillsborough, CA (supporting residences in San Francisco & Los Altos)

Compensation: $55–$65/hour (DOE)

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm

Overview:

A private client with multiple residences in Hillsborough, San Francisco, and Los Altos is seeking a proactive, service-oriented Junior Houseman to support the overall maintenance and presentation of the properties. This is a hands-on role suited for someone physically fit, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a strong team mentality and a “no task is beneath me” attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of multiple residences

• Assist with a wide range of hands-on tasks, including:

  
  

  • Basic maintenance (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor fixes)

  • Outdoor upkeep such as pressure washing walkways and patios

  • Cleaning and maintaining BBQ grills

  • Removing cobwebs and general detailing of indoor and outdoor spaces

  • Window cleaning and general property upkeep

  
  

• Support housekeeping team as needed to ensure high standards are consistently met

• Drive principals and staff as needed; frequent driving between properties required

• Confidently operate a range of vehicles, including Sprinter vans and other cars

• Assist with vendor coordination, deliveries, and on-site projects

• Support setup and breakdown for gatherings or events

• Help maintain household readiness across all properties

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a private household, estate, or hospitality setting preferred

• Physically fit and comfortable with a highly hands-on role

• Strong service mindset with a “no task too small” attitude

• Comfortable performing light maintenance and outdoor labor

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Experience driving larger vehicles (e.g., Sprinter vans)

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional

• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

• Flexible schedule with willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed
