Location: Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA Compensation: 165-180K DOE
Schedule: Full-time
Reports To: Principals
Role Overview
The Estate Manager for the Brentwood household oversees the day-to-day logistics, household systems, and staffing operations for a warm, dynamic family with multiple children (including infants and teens), two principals, and a small team of domestic professionals. This role blends logistical oversight, team coordination, and facilities management in a highly organized but personable home. The ideal candidate brings emotional intelligence, exceptional follow-through, and the ability to support both the big picture and daily details with equal fluency.
Key Responsibilities Household Operations
Serve as the central hub for all household functions and communications
Coordinate and maintain household systems (Savant, Lutron, Apple platform, G-Suite,
HVAC, water conditioning, pool)
Manage vendor lists, contacts, and recurring maintenance schedules; ensure seasonal
projects are tracked and executed
Liaise with landscape, pool, AV, and service vendors for regular upkeep and repairs
Oversee the upkeep of designer-level interiors with a sharp eye for detail and care
standards
Handle inventory checks, online subscriptions, and special ordering as needed
Staff Coordination
Oversee the scheduling and logistical support for:
4+ nannies for school-aged and toddler children
2 overnight baby nannies (rotation and transition planning underway)
3–4 housekeepers, assisted by Lead Housekeeper
Ensure sufficient team coverage according to family’s evolving needs
Calendar, Communication & Travel
Use shared digital calendars to align maintenance, staff schedules, and family schedules
Arrange travel for the family (flights, accommodations, ground transport, etc.)
Coordinate with personal assistants, nannies, and staff to ensure seamless itineraries and
transitions
Maintain vendor logs, household manuals, and shared communications (Notes systems,
living documents and physical binders)
Financial Oversight
Maintain household budgets and coordinate with the family’s business management team
Track expenses and reconcile purchasing
Provide cost estimates, track project spend, and support cost-conscious decision-making
Emergency Readiness
Maintain a clear protocol for emergency evacuation and travel—including go bags, hotel booking practices, and vehicle readiness
Understand manual gate overrides and other home functions in the event of a power outage
Maintain awareness of family safety preferences and act swiftly in proactive and reactive scenarios
Hands-On Support
Willingness to step in for errands, troubleshooting, and dynamic logistics. This is not a supervisory-only role—someone who enjoys being in the mix is valued
Transition Planning
Inherit structured systems built by outgoing manager; adjust and improve systems as needed while maintaining operational continuity in support of principal preferences
Candidate Qualities
5+ years in Estate management or similar roles for UHNW or high-profile families
Strong financial management and reporting skills
Calm, grounded, and highly self-directed
Technologically literate (Savant, Lutron, Google Suite, AV etc.)
Able to uphold and maintain designer-level interior standards with a knowledge of high-end finishes across the home
Skilled at managing a nanny team and coordinating within a creative, family-oriented environment
Emotionally mature with natural boundary-setting ability; intuitive and tactful communicator
Unafraid of rolling up sleeves when needed—especially in support of logistics or transitions
Work Culture
The home is warm and family-driven, but privacy and professional discretion are paramount; candidates must be confident but non-intrusive
Communication with principals is low-touch; clarity, self-direction, and humility are essential
