Job Title: House Manager

Location: Miami Beach, FL

Term: Dec - May

Rate: $45/hour


Role Description

We are seeking an interim House Manager to cover while the current House Manager is on maternity leave. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a very busy, high-level executive's home. You will work closely with the property owner and executive assistant to plan and execute the overall management of the property and services.

Strong rapport-building skills and highly personalized service are essential for success. The House Manager is expected to take a hands-on approach to ensure all aspects of the home are running smoothly and at the highest standard.

This interim position will report directly to the Chief of Staff.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all house staff, vendors and security teams

  • Set and maintain household service standards

  • Create budgets and manage the financial responsibilities such as purchases, negotiating vendor agreements and paying household bills

  • Confirm all house staff invoices are accurate and flag any unnecessary charges

  • Supervise the maintenance of vehicles, jetskis & boat

  • Schedule all vendors and ensure bills are tracked and paid on time

  • Frequently check in with guests staying at the property to ensure they're comfortable

  • Help lead the preparation for all events and dinner parties being hosted at the home

  • Ensure home security systems are functioning optimally at all times and protocols are being followed

  • Order and restock household necessities (groceries not included)

  • Responsible for the maintenance of upgrades and repairs of household systems including Security systems, HVAC, appliances, elevator, pool/spa, landscaping, and irrigation systems

  • Maintain an organized living and working space for the principal

  • Manage the household purchases for repairs & maintenance, payroll, submitting to CoS/EA for appropriate approval before expending funds

  • Perform all miscellaneous tasks as requested by the principal


Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience managing a luxury home, hotel or yacht

  • Ability to be flexible and wear multiple hats as needed

  • Must have a reliable form of transportation

  • Problem-solver mindset and flawless execution across the board

  • Must be tech-savvy & able to troubleshoot on the spot

    Hands-on, proactive, and flexible; no task is too small or too big

  • Personal "black book" of vendors - not required but would be a huge plus!
